The history of the Portopiccolo Yacht Club
Founded in 2014 and affiliated with FIV (Italian Sailing Federation), the YACHT CLUB PORTOPICCOLO (YCPP) represents the sporting soul of the PORTOPICCOLO resort of the same name, the largest high-profile tourist system ever created in the Upper Adriatic, in the bay of Sistiana (Trieste).
YCPP can count on a management with many years of solid experience in the nautical and sports marketing sector and on first-class structures and logistics spaces, such as the 120-berth marina.
This allows YCPP to take on a new and different role compared to traditional Yacht Clubs, in line with the current demands and needs of the yachting & sailing market.
Yacht Club Proposals and Objectives

YCPP and PORTOPICCOLO present themselves as an integrated system capable of activating dialogue and synergy between all the players in our sport: athletes and sailing teams, media, sponsors, public.
YCPP therefore traces a new path made of high-profile proposals and contents, all tailor made , capable of generating tangible value and guaranteed results through its assets and the working method adopted.
All YCPP activities and offers to its partners include access and the possibility of using the areas and services of PORTOPICCOLO , a “ living room ” that needs no introduction. The special setting that any partner can desire to enhance their brand, activate their events and welcome their guests.

Social Initiatives
The Yacht Club Portopiccolo is also present in the social and eco-sustainable field.
YCPP promotes and supports social campaigns to promote sustainable behaviors that aim to protect the planet, reduce our environmental impact and improve the quality of our lives.

Emerald Charter
The Charta Smeralda is an ethical code to share the principles and actions to protect the sea. We fully share the values of One Ocean Foundation , the urgency with which we must intervene to protect the environment and therefore man himself, the need to disseminate the basic principles necessary for the change.
R.Eco
(Onboard Environmental Officer)
The R.Eco is the crew member who has been assigned the new task of Ecological Manager to launch a challenge to all the racing crews in the world. His role consists in making the entire team respect an eco-sustainable and green attitude during the regattas, respecting the sea and the environment. In fact, " doing sustainability " has always meant promoting behaviors and good habits for a positive lifestyle, for man and for the environment. There can be no health for man that is not in respect of the environment, and vice versa. Research and technological progress are important, but every great change comes from thinking in a new way, even in everyday gestures.
